Sin Vacas, also known under is former Ranch name “Rancho Sin Vacas” translated meaning, “Ranch Without Cows”, is a 236-lot subdivision, developed by Kelly Rollings, as well as The Estes Company, who purchased a portion of the land from Rollings in 1977, all of whom recognized the unique character of the land and its lush vegetation, set out to develop a luxury community within the rolling hills of the Catalina’s. 

The history of the land dates back to 1853, following the Gadsden Purchase and was part of the Arizona, New Mexico Territory. After several transactions occurred in 1928, 1929, the property was sold to Jack Holliday, a Steel manufacturer from Indianapolis, who purchased the land from Pima Canyon Partners and was utilized as his winter residence. 

Upon Holliday’s death, the land was purchased by local developer Kelly Rollings, who subsequently sold off the majority of Sin Vacas to The Estes Company.
